The Department is seeking a vendor to provide public information specialist consultant services. The selected consultant will develop content for multiple communication channels, including the Department’s website and various social media platforms. Responsibilities include drafting newsletters, brochures, articles, annual reports, speeches, and talking points for department executives. The consultant will also oversee the layout, design, and translation of materials intended for print distribution.
Direct and proactive advice, consultation, and assistance are required in managing public information matters. This includes researching inquiries, providing information to the public, and crafting effective messaging. The consultant will be responsible for writing social media posts, creating basic social media graphics, and preparing media releases related to departmental activities, services, and programs. Additional duties involve preparing pamphlets and brochures, coordinating external communications across digital platforms, and producing both written and visual content such as web articles, brochures, newsletters, and reports. Support for videography and photography initiatives is also expected, along with a goal to increase the Department’s social media presence by at least 25% on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
