Texas is seeking a vendor to provide public engagement software designed to facilitate broad and effective participation among residents. The platform should eliminate common barriers to involvement by offering accessible online and virtual opportunities, enabling residents to access information and participate in public meetings without needing to travel or engage in real-time speaking environments.
Key features required include integrated telephone, voicemail, SMS, and messaging capabilities, as well as the ability to host online events and meetings that complement in-person experiences. The software should support diverse engagement formats such as surveys and interactive maps, allow for concurrent management of multiple engagement opportunities, and promote interaction among stakeholders. Additional requirements include integrated email and contact management, mapping and GIS input capabilities (e.g., ingestion of Esri web mapping layers), real-time comment synchronization with social channels such as YouTube, fully integrated communications (email, SMS/text, social media), and seamless integration between email campaigns and engagement tools.
