Consultant services are needed in Fiji to enhance public engagement and strengthen FBO-led fiscal oversight through support, community engagement, and model improvement.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have a minimum Masters degree or equivalent in political science, development, public policy, economics, governance, law or related field
Must have at least 5 years of work experience in public financial management, governance and development support
Must have at least 3 years of work experience in democratic strengthening in a low-income country context
Must have strong background in budget analysis and financial oversight
Must have expertise in gender programming with a focus on increasing women's political participation and representation
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and budget analysis software
Must have strong writing, reporting, and policy development skills
Must have fluency in English
Must provide proof of medical insurance coverage before commencement of contract

DESCRIPTION

This project seeks a consultant to advance public engagement in fiscal oversight within Fiji. Services will include supporting and strengthening existing Faith-Based Organization (FBO) implementation strategies related to fiscal transparency and accountability.

The consultant will facilitate the development of communities of practice that support engagement, ownership, and sustainability in fiscal oversight processes. They will also be responsible for promoting the structural expansion, adaptation, and continuous improvement of the FBO model to enhance its impact and ensure long-term effectiveness in fiscal governance.
