DESCRIPTION

The selected consultant will provide comprehensive services to prepare a Multimodal Transportation Network Climate Vulnerability Assessment and Action Plan. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a robust public outreach plan tailored to reach vulnerable communities through both in-person and online public workshops, meetings, and digital engagement, with particular emphasis on cultural relevance and language diversity.

The scope of work includes conducting a thorough vulnerability assessment of the transportation network, recommending a climate adaptation strategy and corresponding funding plan, and preparing both a final adaptation assessment and action plan. Additionally, the consultant will develop transportation emergency preparedness tools targeted at individuals, families, and households. The engagement plan requires recruiting multi-lingual volunteers and mobilizing nonprofit, government, faith-based organizations, businesses, and service clubs to ensure broad and diverse community representation in the project leadership and outreach activities.

The findings and recommendations will be consolidated into a report for board review and approval, culminating in actionable strategies for climate adaptation and emergency preparedness within the transportation sector.
