DESCRIPTION


The County of Hawaii seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive public art administration and coordination services for its public art program. This includes overall program administration, management of public art projects, engagement with artists and stakeholders, and project management support. Activities must be implemented in alignment with grant funding requirements from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The selected provider will plan, coordinate, and execute public education, outreach, marketing, and communication initiatives for assigned projects. Responsibilities involve developing accessible and culturally appropriate flyers, mailers, press releases, website content, social media updates, and project blogs. Oversight of project planning, artist selection, contract negotiation, approvals, budget and schedule management, as well as supervision of the fabrication and installation of art works is required.

Vendors must also collaborate with area schools and educational partners to integrate teachers and students into program activities.
