SUMMARY

Maryland seeks vendors to supply real-time GNSS radio occultation satellite data and related engineering support for space-based environmental monitoring and prediction systems.

DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Maryland seeks a vendor to provide Protech space-based environmental monitoring domain services. The scope of work includes the provision of real-time global navigation satellite system (GNSS) radio occultation (RO) satellite data, meeting the requirements of the Commercial Data Program for Space Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM).

The satellite data will be employed in operational numerical weather prediction models, space weather models, and additional systems for weather, climate, and atmospheric research. Vendors must supply data in the required formats, along with sample data and documentation to facilitate proper data ingestion and processing.

Additionally, the provider is expected to deliver engineering support as necessary to assist the government in the acquisition and processing of the datasets, including supporting technical exchanges and ensuring compatibility with operational data systems for analysis and prediction.
