DESCRIPTION

The City of Redmond, Oregon seeks a qualified vendor to provide property, casualty, and liability insurance agent record services as part of its risk management program. The selected provider will deliver insurance agent services to the city, which includes professional support in areas such as property, casualty, liability, auto, and aviation insurance, as well as related risk services.

Key responsibilities include supplying risk management and insurance brokerage consulting services specifically tailored to municipalities, reviewing and interpreting County Insurance Services (CIS) annual reports, and ensuring accurate replacement valuations for city facilities, buildings, and equipment based on original costs or professional appraisals. The provider is expected to evaluate existing insurance programs and, if necessary, recommend changes to terms, conditions, or coverage limits so that the program remains both affordable and comprehensive.

Additional duties involve supplying budget planning estimates for insurance premiums, conducting cost–benefit analyses related to coverage changes or risk fund reallocation, and keeping the city informed of insurance market developments, including rate and value trends. The consultant will also alert the city to any emerging issues in the account that may affect overall risk management.
