The selected vendor will provide property and casualty insurance brokerage services as well as comprehensive risk management support to a government authority in Florida. Responsibilities include serving as the City's Broker/Agent of Record for various lines of insurance coverage and offering periodic analysis of claims reports to identify trends and provide expert recommendations on risk management strategies to minimize potential losses.
The vendor must maintain a database tracking the City's earned premiums and loss history to facilitate analysis and insurance marketing activities. Additional duties involve conducting thorough reviews and audits of insurance policies to ensure compliance with specifications and overseeing any negotiations with underwriters. The vendor will also be required to evaluate and recommend alternative risk financing mechanisms, including partial or self-funding options, and assist with structure, retention levels, and stop–loss limits.
