The government authority in Bowie, Maryland seeks a vendor to provide a comprehensive promotional testing assessments program service for its police department. Licensed and experienced mental health professionals are required to conduct mental health evaluations for police officer candidates, perform biennial evaluations for active-duty officers, provide post-critical incident assessments, and carry out fitness for duty evaluations.
The selected vendor will design and administer a multi-year promotional testing program that evaluates departmental personnel on competencies related to departmental policy, criminal law, traffic law, and city code. Testing for advancement to the ranks of police officer first class, master patrol officer, corporal, sergeant, and lieutenant must utilize a multiple-choice examination format.
