DESCRIPTION
The selected vendor will provide programmatic audit services for the calendar reporting year ending December 31, 2026, as well as special ad-hoc audits upon request for a government authority in California. This work supports efforts to strengthen the health care delivery system and to facilitate the purchase of affordable, quality health care coverage. The audits will help ensure compliance with requirements to claim available federal tax credits, obtain cost-sharing subsidies, and meet the personal responsibility mandates under the federal act.
The vendor will also assist the agency in serving as an active purchaser, including developing competitive processes to select participating carriers and contractors. The audit scope further includes ensuring that health care service plans and insurers in the individual and small employer markets comply with coverage issuance and compete based on price, quality, and service.
