Port Of Long Beach
Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Long Beach, California, is seeking a vendor to provide professional project management services for capital programs and projects. Responsibilities include supporting and managing the delivery of these projects, developing and defining project scopes, and identifying and coordinating necessary resources. The vendor will oversee project initiation, facilitate budget approvals, and provide quarterly updates on capital expenditures, cash flow, and forecasts. Continual monitoring and updating of project schedules is required, as well as solicitation of budgets from team members, and close coordination with Design Managers and Construction Managers.
The successful vendor must facilitate meetings with various internal and external stakeholders, including Port Divisions and agencies, while preparing agendas and documenting meeting outcomes. Additional responsibilities include developing project delivery plans, coordinating permitting efforts (such as harbor development permits), and managing right of way requirements in collaboration with real estate staff. The vendor is also tasked with reviewing, coordinating, and distributing key design phase deliverables, preparing board memos for key approvals, and supporting related board communications.
Throughout the project lifecycle, the provider must identify potential issues and quantify impacts as part of the change management process. Other duties involve managing contractor prequalification processes when required and supporting compliance with the port’s small business enterprise program by preparing all necessary supporting documentation. The contract period will last one year.
