The selected vendor will provide professional planning, technical analysis, and conceptual design services for a government authority located in Capitola, California. The project focuses on developing an access enhancement and adaptation plan, including project management, coordination, and stakeholder meetings.
Key responsibilities encompass community engagement support such as workshops, surveys, and the creation of outreach materials, along with sea level rise modeling, drainage and stormwater analysis, and coastal hazards assessment. The vendor will also support tribal engagement through early outreach and coordination with traditionally affiliated Tribes to inform conceptual alternatives and cultural resource considerations.
The scope includes developing three to four conceptual alternatives that integrate climate adaptation strategies with park enhancement concepts, preparing graphics, mapping, and technical documentation, as well as providing interpretive signage and educational elements. Placemaking and public realm improvements are integral to the overall project scope.
