DESCRIPTION

The City of Valdosta, Georgia is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional engineering services for the development of a Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan. This initiative aims to reduce and eliminate severe injury and fatality crashes across all roadways within the city. The selected provider will utilize existing GIS right-of-way centrelines and analyze current conditions, historical trends, and crash data to establish a baseline of serious and fatal crashes.

Vendors will be responsible for conducting detailed crash analysis, identifying high-risk locations through geospatial methods, and evaluating contributing factors and crash types. An important aspect of this project involves developing and executing a robust public participation strategy: engaging with stakeholders including community groups and private sector entities, managing a central project website, and incorporating public feedback into the action plan. The plan should reflect equity, inclusiveness, and representativeness throughout its development, taking into account existing policies, guidelines, and standards for improved roadway safety.
