A government authority in Port Washington, NY is seeking a qualified provider for professional engineering services for an identified project. The scope of work includes a thorough evaluation of the project site, documentation of existing site conditions, and identification of any discrepancies between observed conditions and approved permit documents. The selected firm will be responsible for all required survey services within the project limits, performed in accordance with State prevailing wage requirements, and must document the location of all underground and overhead utilities.
The chosen vendor will participate in up to four design progress meetings with the Department of Public Works and other Town representatives, as well as up to two coordination meetings during the bulkhead permitting phase, including coordination of interface work between the proposed bulkhead and recreational pier. Responsibilities also include preparation of complete Construction Contract Documents—such as contract drawings and technical specifications—that adhere to the State Building Code, current ADA requirements, and all applicable regulations. A detailed construction cost estimate and project schedule are also required.
Additionally, the vendor will provide Construction Administration services, with a minimum allocation of fifty hours dedicated to activities such as review of shop drawings and submittals, attendance at bi-weekly construction progress meetings, preparation of revised documents as needed, and coordination for regulatory compliance.
