The government authority in Stanardsville, VA is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive professional engineering services. The project scope encompasses general civil engineering tasks such as land surveying, site development, drainage system planning, street and highway design, ADA compliance, traffic control, and landscaping. Additionally, vendors will support water and wastewater utility engineering, which includes physical plant design, facility maintenance and operation, wells, pump stations, odor control, distribution line upgrades and rehabilitation, as well as ensuring regulatory compliance and permitting.
The selected engineering firm will also be responsible for the evaluation and design of parks and landscaping features, including multifunctional and linear parks, pedestrian and biking trails, multi-purpose athletic facilities, and specialized landscaping or thematic installations. Further duties involve plan review for stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, site and construction building projects (both residential and commercial).
Professional and construction support services are also required, covering areas such as site and building systems planning, studies, design work, contract administration assistance, and various survey-related tasks (topographic, boundary, and easement surveys), as well as the preparation of plats for small construction projects. Other responsibilities may include small building construction and renovation and the development of recreational facilities. The contract for these services will be for a one-year period.
