DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking professional code consultant services focused on building and fire code review, as well as proposed amendments. The selected vendor will provide expert analysis of existing codes, identifying conflicts and redundancies specific to housing development and related policies.

Services include initial consultation, program refinement, and conducting interviews with stakeholders such as builders, developers, and local/state building and fire department staff to gather insight and suggestions for improvement. The consultant will analyze current codes, document findings, recommend changes, reduce redundancies, and prepare comprehensive reports. Supporting documentation, such as design guidelines, may also be required to facilitate code interpretation.

Additionally, the vendor will develop and manage a public engagement program, which may include maintaining a project webpage, preparing presentations, and overseeing the project's social media presence.
