Professional Audit Services

The government authority in Clayton, Missouri is seeking a vendor to provide professional audit services on an as-needed basis in support of the county's internal audit team. The selected firm will assist with objective, independent audit work and provide recommendations to strengthen internal control processes.

Scope of services includes specialized reviews such as Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) assessments, financial audit support, and broader IT audit support. The work involves conducting preliminary planning meetings with county stakeholders to understand systems, processes, and the overall IT environment, then identifying and evaluating relevant IT control domains including logical access, change management, backup and recovery, configuration management, IT operations, and monitoring.

The vendor will be expected to assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls and deliver written findings with clear risk ratings of High, Moderate, or Low. Reports should include root cause analysis, potential operational or financial impacts, and actionable remediation recommendations. The anticipated contract term is three years.
