Registered professional accounting firm with CPA Alberta
Approved CPA training office
Minimum 10 designated CPAs and 4 CPA candidates for firms
In good standing with Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) and free of active auditing restrictions for firms
Staff meet resource category qualifications
Familiarity with PSAS, IFRS, and Part IV (Pension plans) financial statement audits
Provide computers meeting OAG minimum system requirements (Windows 11 21H2/22H2 or greater, Adobe Acrobat version 9 or above, Microsoft Office 2019/2021/365, mandatory full disk hard drive encryption, up-to-date end-point security, local install privileges for audit working paper software)
Possess licenses for industry-standard software for performing audits, including .pdf editing
Capable of complying with OAG IrT standards and policies
Annually recruited and placed CPAs in public/not-for-profit, industry, and/or professional accounting firms for the last five consecutive years (for recruiting firms)
Member in good standing as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) (for individuals)
Three independent positive business references for significant audit projects (for individuals)
Completed Core 1, Core 2, and Elective 1 of CPA program (for Intermediate Auditor)
Minimum 18 months experience in an approved public accounting training office program (for Intermediate Auditor)
Minimum 750 audit hours (for Intermediate Auditor)
Completed CPA's professional education program (for Senior Auditor)
Minimum 30 months experience in an approved public accounting training office program (for Senior Auditor)
Minimum 1,250 audit hours (for Senior Auditor)
CPA designation with depth in audit and assurance (for Audit Manager)
Minimum two years post-designation experience in a registered chartered professional accounting firm (for Audit Manager)
Minimum 2,500 audit hours (for Audit Manager)
Experience managing several large control-based and/or complex financial statement audit engagements (for Audit Manager)
