DESCRIPTION

This RFP seeks qualified vendors to provide professional and technical services for the evaluation of advanced and emerging technologies related to water quality management. Services include the monitoring and treatment of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs), harmful algal blooms such as cyanotoxins, and control treatments for taste and odor compounds. Solutions are also required for invasive species like quagga, zebra, and golden mussels, as well as strategies for post-wildfire water quality protection, groundwater remediation, treatment of new disinfection by-products (DBPs), and the implementation of sustainable and green technologies.

Vendors must utilize current, validated analytical methods and treatment technologies tailored to each task, applying industry best practices and innovative approaches to address complex water quality, treatment, and system resiliency challenges. Responsibilities include delivering technical expertise, data analysis, and actionable recommendations that align with the agency’s operational and strategic objectives. Collaboration is expected with agency staff and external stakeholders, such as participation in advisory panels and regulatory working groups. Vendors should maintain flexibility to address new contaminants, technologies, and regulatory standards and hold all necessary licenses and certifications relevant to their services.
