Privacy and Lactation Pods Service

A government authority in White Plains, New York, is seeking a vendor to provide privacy and lactation pod services. In compliance with revised legal requirements, each facility must be able to offer, upon request, a clean, well-lit, private, and convenient space for nursing employees that is distinct from restrooms or toilet stalls. The designated area must be equipped with a chair, a working surface, close access to running water, an electrical outlet, close proximity to work areas, complete visual shielding, and protection from intrusion. Providing a private room with a lockable door is preferred, though not required.

The pods’ exterior should feature rigid vinyl wall panels with polystyrene foam cores and a white oak finish, a right-hand door swing with adjustable self-closing spring hinges, and a recycled plastic felt roof for noise dampening. Interior requirements include a commercial-grade shelf with integrated tamper-resistant outlets (USB-A and USB-C), a fold-down laptop desk, an ergonomic seat with a 300 lb. weight limit, a shatterproof mirror, a UL Listed ventilation fan, and a stainless steel coat hook. The service contract will have a one-year term.
