Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The government authority in Buffalo, New York seeks a vendor to provide preventive visitation services to families involved in agency investigations or family court proceedings. These services aim to create positive experiences for children, supporting family and foster care well-being and functioning.
The provider will facilitate supervised and guided interactions between parents, relatives, and children in a spectrum of settings, with the goal of promoting child safety, permanency, and well-being in alignment with Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) objectives. Services must be provided to all referred families, irrespective of the reasons for the child's care placement.
The scope includes regular visits ranging from high-need, secured settings to unsupervised visits in the family home, progressing towards placement discharge. The vendor is expected to support parents or relatives through training opportunities, care coordination, access to medical or mental health resources, and transportation for visitation. Facilitation of healthy interactions among the child’s support network—including parents, siblings, step-parents, and foster parents—is required, along with accommodation for large sibling groups.
The contract will be for one year, and a pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 6, 2026.
