The government authority in Tacoma, WA is seeking a qualified vendor to provide preliminary engineering design services for pedestrian improvements along the south side of 216th Street East. Funded through State Legislative appropriations, the project includes the design of compliant concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, and a pedestrian-activated crossing signal to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility.
Key components of the required services include conducting a geotechnical investigation and report, septic evaluation/design and report, pavement and retaining wall design, and the development or modification of guardrail systems. The selected vendor will also handle illumination and interconnect design, stormwater drainage analysis and reporting, channelization and signage design, as well as utility coordination. If necessary, final Right-of-Way plans will also be prepared as part of the project scope.
