The government authority in Washington is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive pre-design, architectural, and engineering services for a renovation project focusing on family and/or juvenile courtrooms, administrative and support spaces, and a secure juvenile detention facility. Strong expertise in Trauma Informed Design practices for planning and programming is necessary, ensuring the environment promotes safety and wellbeing.
The consultant team must include a security consultant to address recommended enhancements, and will be responsible for developing phasing plans to facilitate successful project execution. Required disciplines include architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering, with coverage of security, audio/visual, signage, furniture and equipment (FF&E), interior design, and telecommunications.
Vendors are expected to analyze project alternatives by presenting a high-level summary table evaluating each, including anticipated costs, enabling decision makers to assess project requirements, costs, and associated challenges or opportunities. The scope also includes site surveys, geotechnical assessments, and transportation or traffic studies. All vendor questions must be submitted by April 22, 2026.
