One-year contract opportunity for pest control services in Columbus, Ohio for local government facilities.

Provide pest control services to effectively control and eradicate insects, rodents, and vermin, including unlisted pests.
Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local pesticide laws, regulations, licenses, permits, credentials, and certifications.
Perform full preventative treatment services, including inspection and treatment, at least three feet from exterior walls.
Conduct regular services (Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Quarterly) during City business hours (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday), with after-hours/weekend work for special conditions at no additional charge.
Provide 72 hours advance written notice for services requiring area vacating.
Provide call-back services within 24 hours at no extra charge for additional pest control needs.
Completely suppress crawling and flying insect populations using properly registered and labeled products.
Do not apply insecticides when City personnel are present; provide 72 hours advance written notification for occupied space applications, detailing pests, locations, products, methods, and safety provisions.
Fumigants are prohibited in City facilities.
Use surface sprays, crack and crevice applications, dusts, baits, or dry fog methods consistent with product labeling.
Conform to federal, state, local, and OSHA chemical use requirements; provide MSDS for all chemicals used and update for changes.
Provide a listing of all pesticide products used to the Agency Site Coordinator (ASC).
Implement rodent control programs (repelling, trapping, poisoning) with daily trap checks and rodent removal.
Rotate bait stations regularly; do not use poisons without prior City approval.
Place all rodenticides in tamperproof, locked, or sealed boxes.
Submit written reports on rodent box locations, installation, and removal dates.
Remove all pest control materials (insecticides, rodenticides, bait stations) at contract conclusion and provide written certification.
Conduct surveys for infestations and harborages, reporting conducive conditions to the City in writing.
Provide emergency services for bat, bird, snake, and large animal control, and fumigation/fogging on a time and materials basis.
Submit a written estimate for emergency services, including estimated labor and material cost, service description, and building location, for City approval.
Pest Control Technicians must be certified by a competent authority.
Contractor employees must conduct themselves courteously and professionally, wear appropriate attire, and a contractor-supplied identification badge.
Provide employees with all protective clothing, equipment, and devices conforming to OSHA standards.
Remove all generated debris, trash, or refuse from City premises.
Supply a customer service telephone line and email address for service requests, with same-day response for requests made 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM M-F, and next business day otherwise.
Establish and adhere to a service schedule with the Facilities Maintenance Division Site Coordinator (FMDSC), reporting any deviations immediately.
Obtain a City representative's signature on a Specific Services Provided Ticket (SSPT) for each building serviced, and include it with monthly invoices.
Bidders must inspect sites, verify conditions, take necessary measurements and counts, and familiarize themselves with all site conditions before bidding.
Comply with Columbus City Code Sections 329.18(b) and 3909.01(B) regarding responsibility factors and Equal Opportunity Clause.
Comply with Ohio Revised Code Section 3517.13 regarding campaign contributions.
Withhold and pay all City income taxes for employees and subcontractors.
Submit required contract forms: Signature Affidavit (if applicable), Current Workers' Compensation certificate, Certificate of Insurance (City as additional insured), and a 100% contract performance and payment bond.
Maintain Commercial Liability Insurance with minimum coverage of $500,000 per person / $1,000,000 per accident for bodily injury and $500,000 per accident / $1,000,000 all accidents for property damage.
