The government authority in Poughkeepsie, New York is seeking a vendor to provide collaborative solutions for persons in need of supervision. The selected provider will supply an adolescent mental health and chemical dependency treatment professional to join the collaborative solutions team, delivering timely assessment, consultation, and intervention services for adolescents and their families during key agency interactions.
Duties will include providing onsite psychological or mental health expertise, sharing recent research on evidence-based practices, and consulting with agency officers on psychopathology, diagnostics, and community mental health treatment options. The contractor will conduct face-to-face family assessments, develop intervention plans, serve as site coordinator for functional family therapy, and advocate for appropriate interventions for high-risk youth entering the juvenile justice system. Additional responsibilities comprise facilitating evidence-based group interventions for youth, providing crisis intervention services, and ensuring referral and linkage to appropriate community-based care providers. Completion of all required agency documentation is also expected. The contract term is one year.
