The desired software must provide a web portal that allows for online application submittal, payments, inspection scheduling, and electronic document search. Key features should include auto-generation of permit numbers, automated notification alerts for building staff, and the ability to integrate with Bluebeam for plan review, markups, and automated letter generation.
Additional requirements include integration with GIS for accurate property mapping and owner information, as well as compatibility with Upland FileBound for records management. The system should support email communications directly to contractors, homeowners, and business owners, offer configurable letter templates using Microsoft Word, and facilitate robust search, tracking, and reporting capabilities. The software should also allow users to search permits by address or number, create multiple permit application types with distinct required fields, and provide automated inspection result notifications to permit holders.
