The State of California is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive permit education and communication services. The project will involve the expansion and management of an existing WordPress website, including updates to site navigation, plugin enhancements, hosting services, SSL implementation, and URL redirect management. Additionally, the vendor will be responsible for integrating AI features, such as a tool for automatically populating a location image database and implementing a new chat tool for enhanced user engagement.
The selected firm will create and design educational media content, including videos that set expectations for on-site inspections. This will require coordination with various departments, such as fire safety, building code enforcement, and parking and transportation. As part of the scope, the vendor will also develop and execute a communications and public awareness campaign aimed at informing industry professionals about the importance of permitting, while addressing concerns and reducing perceived barriers to compliance.
