The selected vendor will be responsible for providing pedicab franchise services on the Boardwalk in Maryland. Services must be available outside of normal bike hours and should function as an on-demand transportation option for both residents and visitors. Requests may be made directly from residences, hotels, and local attractions to facilitate point-to-point transport within the defined service area.
Pedicab operations are specifically permitted to run south from 27th Street to 4th Street along the wooden part of the Boardwalk, then follow the concrete lane towards the pier, and return via the secured, marked paved lane. The system is required to operate as a demand-response transit solution, ensuring accessibility and convenience for users.
The vendor must adhere to all franchise requirements set forth for the operation of such services within the service boundaries provided.
