Ontario is seeking a comprehensive payroll and human resources solution to modernize and consolidate its current Payroll, Employee Onboarding, Training & Scheduling, and Recruitment systems. The new solution will replace payroll processes currently managed through timesheets and the Canadian Payroll Module in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, which involves manual data entry and generating payment files for direct deposit.
The desired system should feature modular capabilities, including payroll processing, employee onboarding, training, recruitment, and scheduling. Administrators must be able to assign user and role-based permissions within each module without the need for additional vendor programming. The solution should also provide employee self-service options to view and print pay slips and T4s, review work schedules, clock in and out, and request time off. Manager self-service functionality should allow for reviewing and approving time-off requests as well as approving and correcting timesheets.
Additional requirements include robust ad-hoc and user-defined reporting, a variety of standard reports with samples, and maintenance of historical data for both current and former employees, such as employment history and performance ratings. The anticipated contract period for this engagement will be one year.
