The Town of Plainfield, Connecticut, is seeking a consultant to provide comprehensive pavement management program services. The selected firm will begin with an in-person or remote kick-off meeting to review previous data and data collection initiatives, followed by developing a methodology for integrating legacy Town data into the proposed pavement management solution.
Key tasks include establishing a detailed inventory of all Town-maintained roadways, conducting an image-based, AI-driven condition assessment with industry standard scoring for each roadway section, and clearly outlining the processes used for calculating roadway scores and ensuring quality control. The integration of all collected data must result in a compatible GIS shapefile or geodatabase.
The project requires the creation and hosting of an interactive web or GIS-based dashboard displaying pavement inventory and condition data, as well as the development of an optimized treatment plan. The consultant will also prepare five budget or target-driven scenarios to forecast roadway conditions under varying budgetary and treatment strategies. The contract will cover a period of one year.
