DESCRIPTION

The City of Gillette, Wyoming seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive Parks Master Plan services. The selected multi-disciplinary team will support City Staff in the creation of a city-wide Parks Master Plan (PMP) that aligns with the city’s adopted 2025 comprehensive plan. This project involves a thorough review of the entire parks system to assess current assets and infrastructure, gauge community needs, and create a long-term, fiscally sustainable strategy for future parkland development.

Scope of work includes the creation of a clear and adaptable planning framework to guide parkland development, the development of a park typology, identification of both passive and active recreation spaces, and an inventory of existing park facilities. The project also involves analyzing the service size (population and area) to determine appropriate levels of service expectations and a review and mapping of service areas for each park.

The objective is to provide a master plan that supports the evolving recreational and open space needs of the community, ensuring both functionality and adaptability as the city grows.
