Parks and Recreation Plan Review and Update Service

The government authority in Fort St John, British Columbia is seeking a vendor to review and update its Parks and Recreation Plan. The selected vendor will be expected to conduct targeted engagement to validate priorities identified through previous plans and recent aquatic facility engagement. The work includes reassessing current recreation facility capacity and future demand using updated demographic, participation, and usage data, as well as mapping and analyzing gaps in access to parks and recreation amenities.

The assignment also calls for a clear strategic framework to support long-term planning and decision-making, along with guidance for monitoring progress and updating the plan over time. Deliverables include GIS-based mapping illustrating gaps and opportunities, a gap and opportunity analysis, and an implementation framework.
