DESCRIPTION


The Capital Construction and Renovations Department in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking highly qualified engineering firms to provide structural engineering services for small to medium-sized projects on a term contract basis. The focus will be on parking structure evaluation, including reviewing documented structural inspections, conducting new visual inspections, performing chloride content analysis and adhesion testing, and developing recommendations, prioritization, and cost estimates for necessary repairs based on inspection findings.

Selected firms will also facilitate and coordinate repair work as agreed upon by the Department of Parking and Transportation. The contracts will cover a range of structural engineering services beyond parking structures as part of a four-year term contract. Firms are required to submit a letter of interest and supporting materials for consideration.
