The project seeks a vendor to provide a robust online archive digital asset management system capable of supporting a wide variety of digital assets including images, audio, video, documents, and text. The system must feature an online public interface, allowing for easy access and exploration of the archives and digital assets. Key requirements include advanced metadata functions, bulk management of both collections and metadata taxonomies via controlled vocabularies, and compliance with current accessibility standards for both public and staff user interfaces.

The solution should offer capabilities to arrange assets into collections, assign individual assets to multiple and nested collections, and manage public visibility settings for both collections and assets. Bulk upload functionality and metadata assignment are essential, as are date-range and location-range search features for both staff and public users. Customization options such as theme management, display preferences by content type or collection, and responsive design for mobile and desktop environments are required. The system must also allow management and publication of blog posts or webpages, provide flexible PDF display options, and ensure ongoing security updates as part of the base service or cost structure.
