SUMMARY

Migration of on-premises Exchange to Office 365 GCC, including licensing, mailbox migration, and email security for New Jersey.

DESCRIPTION

New Jersey is seeking a qualified vendor to provide Office 365 licensing and migration services for the transition from an on-premises Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 environment to a Microsoft Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) tenant.

The scope of work includes migrating all user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, calendars, contacts, and groups to the cloud environment with minimal service disruption. The vendor will be responsible for procuring Microsoft 365 licenses and a third-party email security solution, as well as implementing advanced phishing and impersonation protection, URL rewriting, and malicious link protection.

Additional tasks will involve developing a comprehensive migration plan and communication strategy, creating or syncing licensed users, updating DNS records for cutover (including CName, TXT, MX, and Autodiscover records), and decommissioning or disabling legacy Exchange services. The vendor's expertise in both technical migration and enterprise-level email security is essential for successful project execution.
