A government authority in Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to provide and install a new nurse call system at the Rainycrest Long-Term Care facility. The scope of work includes the complete replacement of the existing end-of-life push-button system with a modern, hard-wired Nurse Call System (NCS) designed to enhance clinical safety, reliability, and reporting within an occupied long-term care setting.
The selected vendor will deliver a comprehensive, turn-key solution, encompassing discovery and clinical workflow validation, detailed system design, supply and installation of all required equipment, and commissioning. The installation will occur in an occupied environment and must be conducted with minimal disruption. Integration with life-safety and building systems—such as paging systems, alarms, and sensor interfaces—will be required where permitted by relevant authorities. Additional features may include optional mobile notifications to staff devices.
Training and knowledge transfer will be provided for both nursing and maintenance staff, along with thorough documentation, as-built drawings, warranty coverage, and ongoing support and maintenance under a defined Service Level Agreement (SLA). The vendor should also propose a framework for potential additional services such as extended support, incremental device additions, functional enhancements, or further deployments.
