An organization in Nova Scotia is seeking a vendor to implement a nonprofit-compliant accounting system that aligns with organizational requirements, funder expectations, and existing accounting policies. The selected vendor will be responsible for configuring and deploying a system where all workflows are policy-driven, fully documented, and auditable.
Key responsibilities include identifying gaps between current policies and operational practices, recommending policy updates to support new systems, and enhancing system integration and automation while upholding strong internal controls. The project will involve supporting PREP’s transition to an in-house finance team by providing comprehensive training, thorough documentation, and policy-aligned procedures.
Additional duties include assessing the organization’s compliance and audit readiness from both a systems and policy standpoint, reviewing existing integrations and data flows, and designing a QuickBooks Online for Nonprofits environment in line with organizational accounting policies. The vendor will need to develop or refine the chart of accounts for accurate, policy-driven reporting, address necessary policy updates, perform historical data migration, configure and test integrations with platforms such as Dext, Wagepoint, Keela, HubSpot, and Stripe, and prepare detailed step-by-step documentation aligned with all procedures.
