The new CMS must be comprehensive, secure, and user-friendly, replacing the current platform and supporting easy access for parents, community members, and staff across all devices. Key requirements include a front-end design that prioritizes accessibility, allowing visitors to quickly locate critical educational information, district news, calendars, and school-specific updates.
The vendor will be responsible for implementing a CMS with multiple user roles, facilitating seamless content updates, and offering an SEO-friendly website architecture. The system should provide semi-customizable templates to enable unique branding for the district and each school, along with integrated social media posting capabilities (Facebook and Instagram). Additional features include the ability to send an iCal URL for calendar events, ensuring parents and community members can synchronize school events with their personal calendars.
The solution must be hosted on a secure platform compliant with ISO 27001 standards, include real-time offsite backups for disaster recovery, and support multi-factor authentication for all administrative and privileged accounts. The selected vendor will provide ongoing maintenance and support services, as well as migrate all current content to the new platform to ensure a smooth transition.
