DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Michigan is seeking a vendor to deliver network upgrade services for an existing traditional Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) plant system. The vendor should provide a comprehensive description of the overall solution or methodology, detailing the key steps involved in the service delivery and outlining any value-added services that may be included.

The current network infrastructure comprises an integrated cable modem termination system (CMTS) servicing conventional HFC nodes, with support for approximately 1,200 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modems—averaging 125 modems per service group. The network features five production 2x2 split nodes and one office/test node, resulting in 11 total service groups. The selected vendor will be responsible for a strategic upgrade to meet present and future network demands.
