The state of Illinois is seeking a comprehensive network access control list (ACL) life cycle management solution. The desired solution should deliver native, out-of-the-box support for managing ACLs across a variety of network and security devices, including but not limited to routers, switches, and firewalls.
Key requirements include the provision of an intuitive, user-facing portal or interface, as well as support for automated or semi-automated, policy-driven deployments of approved changes to target devices with pre- and post-change validation checks. The solution must be capable of discovering and maintaining a real-time, centralized inventory of all network devices. Additional features should include robust, customizable reporting and dashboarding to deliver actionable insights, as well as visualization tools such as network topology maps to illustrate traffic paths and highlight the impact of changes within the network.
