A government authority in Austin, Texas seeks a vendor to provide specialized music therapy services to individuals who are blind and visually impaired. The scope includes both individual and group sessions tailored to the diverse needs of each eligible participant and their families, accommodating visual impairments, hearing impairments, and multiple disabilities. Services must be accessible, multisensory, and adaptive, with interventions designed to promote the development of cognitive, motor, speech, language, and social–emotional skills through music–based activities.
Objectives include enhancing literacy and language abilities, supporting communication proficiency, memory recall, and word identification, as well as fostering social–emotional skills like self–regulation and turn–taking. The program is intended to encourage emotional bonding between caregivers and participants, develop musical skills through exploration of instruments and rhythmic activities, strengthen cognitive and creative abilities, and reinforce early math concepts.
Vendors must address all questions by March 23, 2026. The contract term will be one year, and a pre-bid meeting will be held on March 20, 2026.
