SUMMARY

Development of a wayfinding and signage strategy for municipal and rural areas in New Jersey, including mapped locations, phased implementation, and a design manual.

DESCRIPTION

A qualified vendor is sought to develop a comprehensive municipal wayfinding and community signage strategy for various communities and rural areas in New Jersey. The project includes creating a refreshed signage hierarchy, encompassing gateway, directional, heritage, interpretive, and amenity signage. The vendor will be responsible for mapping recommended sign locations across Glencoe, Wardsville, Appin, and surrounding rural areas.

The scope of work also requires proposing a phased implementation plan, detailing short, medium, and long-term actions. The strategy is intended to enhance the visitor experience, strengthen municipal identity, support tourism and economic development, and improve navigation throughout the municipalities. All work must align with county tourism initiatives and the updated wayfinding strategy. As part of this engagement, the vendor will produce a comprehensive Wayfinding and Community Signage Design Manual, including detailed specifications, color palettes, typography, and placement guidelines for all signage types.
