DESCRIPTION


The government authority in Cumming, Georgia seeks a qualified vendor to update its multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan for the Forsyth County operational area. The goal of this project is to reduce long-term risks to people, property, and critical infrastructure from the impacts of both natural and man-made hazards.

Required tasks include organizing resources and convening a planning team, conducting public outreach and community engagement, performing a community capability assessment, and carrying out hazard identification and risk assessment. The vendor will also develop a mitigation strategy, create a mitigation action plan and implementation strategy, establish plan maintenance procedures, and oversee the drafting, review, and adoption of the updated plan.
