DESCRIPTION

The Alabama Medicaid Agency is seeking a vendor to deliver a modernized Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) along with an improved Claims Processing and Management System (CPMS). This initiative involves re-platforming the current AMMIS onto a secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud computing solution. The scope also includes providing a Service Desk in alignment with ITIL standards to ensure robust support for the agency.

Additionally, the project requires enhancement of the Benefit Plan Administration (BPA) system, including restructuring for better program policy hierarchy and support for exporting rules in a readable human format. Increasing business process automation through a workflow solution, along with enhancing the CPMS user interface, is crucial to improving end-user productivity. Vendors are expected to develop advanced dashboards and reporting tools covering Service Level Agreements, workflow metrics, call center metrics, and requirements for Streamlined Modular Certification.

The existing web-based, self-service portals for Medicaid members and providers must also be upgraded to promote efficient utilization of Alabama Medicaid services. The contract period is set for four years.
