The client seeks a vendor to provide Mobile Device Management (MDM) software for 270 tablets utilized for student management on school buses. The selected solution must support the planned expansion of applications, such as turn-by-turn directions, driver pre-check, and enhanced student information functionality. Implementation is targeted for June 2026, with a contract period of one year.
The MDM must provide administrators with full control over the tablet functions, including loading, updating, and customizing applications, as well as managing system updates through various settings (default, automatic, windowed, or postponed). Tablets are used daily to scan students on and off buses, requiring robust update controls and the ability to add Google Play Store, private, and web applications. Additional requirements include customizable home and lock screens, focus mode activation when a device connects to a vehicle hotspot, and advanced data usage monitoring and alerting. The MDM must also offer a user-friendly, scalable interface, enforce mobile password policies, and provide dedicated customer service support.
