The City of Boise, Idaho is seeking a qualified vendor to provide miscellaneous architectural services. The scope includes comprehensive support across all project phases such as consultation, planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
During the initial stages, the selected architect will be responsible for consultation, preparation of conceptual and preliminary design studies, sketches, and recommendations for materials and fixtures as required. In the construction documents phase, the architect will develop the necessary drawings, details, and specifications for project construction, along with clear instructions outlining the respective responsibilities of the architect, city, and contractors.
Throughout the construction phase, the architect must conduct periodic site visits to monitor the project's progress and quality. They will provide observation of the contractor’s work, interpret plans and specifications, and review workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to contract documents, while not being responsible for the contractor's methodologies. Additional responsibilities include assisting with contract administration, completing required paperwork, maintaining weekly reports, authorizing payments and materials testing, and issuing certifications as outlined in the contract documents.
