The government authority in Illinois is seeking vendors to provide metro ethernet transport services that will connect state offices and the Century Network point of presence sites. The required services include point-to-point transport to support wide area network (WAN) needs, including last mile connectivity between various state office locations.
The selected service must ensure a minimum availability of 99.98% or better, measured over a 30-day average. Synchronous bandwidth is a requirement, as is continuous operation—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Additionally, the service must maintain a one-way latency of no more than 18 milliseconds and jitter of 12 milliseconds or less.
Providers should be able to guarantee the stated performance metrics and deliver highly reliable, secure connectivity for government operations.
