SUMMARY

VA GLAC seeks integration of Medtronic PillCam GI system with Oracle Health EHR, including software installation, interface support, and training.

DESCRIPTION

The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to secure services for the integration of the Medtronic PillCam GI system with the Oracle Health Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform. This project encompasses software installation, interface integration, solution testing, ongoing interface support, licensing, and comprehensive training. The integration will involve working closely with both Oracle Health and VA teams to develop or update Interface Control Documents (ICD) and ensure that all test scenarios, including HL7 messages for order management and results transmission, are fully functional.

The PillCam SB3 platform by Medtronic, which is proprietary and includes various capsule endoscopy solutions, will be the primary technology integrated with the Oracle Health EHR. The selected contractor will coordinate efforts to ensure seamless interoperability between the PillCam system components and the health record environment, focusing on message workflows such as order messages, results, and cancellations. This initiative will be executed as a firm, fixed-price contract for a one-time service.
