DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Florida is seeking a vendor to provide Medicare Supplement and Part D pharmacy insurance services. The scope includes offering Medicare Supplement Plans and Medicare Part D Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP) benefits to retirees and their eligible spouses, with comprehensive coverage for both generic and brand drugs. These plans are to be provided on a fully insured basis for Volusia County government and participating agencies as part of county-sponsored health plans.
Vendors must deliver fully insured group or individual plans with group billing capabilities, including telephonic and online customer service components accessible during regular business hours. Services should provide members with customer service, education tools, benefit inquiries, plan enrollment management, and interface with the County for enrollment, eligibility, and premium functions. The ability to accept monthly premium payments from the County on a group billing basis and verify Medicare eligibility and enrollment for each participating member is required.
