The Department of Veterans Affairs, Seattle VA Health Care System, is conducting market research to identify capable sources for providing a UV enclosure system and supporting software suite. This solution will enable automated, traceable UV-C disinfection for reusable medical equipment, supporting a range of items such as wheelchairs, IV poles, and computer nurse stations. The system requires a 60-second automated cycle, digital integration with a cloud process management platform, and compatibility with existing UV Concepts Inc. UVE technology.
Vendors will be responsible for installation and on-site training, including annual service and process management platform integration. The system must have key features including independent third-party microbiology testing, rapid log-5 pathogen reduction, high-performance reflective interiors, multiple safety certifications, advanced access control, and automated digital indicator tags for real-time tracking. All run-cycle data should be digitally recorded, stored, and transmitted via the platform, providing alerts to medical staff. The system is intended for use at the Seattle VA Health Care System, with installation in Room 2A-104, Building 100.
Vendors interested must provide evidence of their ability to meet these requirements, including proof of authorized service provider status, business size, a capabilities overview, and appropriate certifications such as VetCert or GSA schedule numbers if available.
